I have a special Friday bonus tutorial for you! Ruby from Zaaberry (a skirt week judge) told us that she made a skirt and wouldn’t mind if we featured it here. I was so excited, because Ruby is a huge favorite of ours here at Crafterhours. I’ve been admiring her work for years, especially with knits. She made my favorite skirt for skirt week last year (but didn’t win! The travesty!) and she’s also consistently made my favorite tops for Rae’s Spring Top Week. Thankfully she did win for readers’ choice last year or I was going to demand a recount :)
Anyway! Ruby is a genius with knits. You must check out her blog if you haven’t already – you’ll see some amazing skill. Everything she makes looks store bought, and I mean that as a compliment. She’s incredibly precise and professional. She makes adorable kiddo’s knits for her shop too.
Today she’s sharing her take on a maxi with a hi-low hem – perfect for wearing a long skirt but still having mobility to chase kids around! Head over to her blog for the full tutorial.
And don’t miss the knit dress tutorial she just came out with too – it’s exactly what I need around here this summer. (and by summer, I mean year-round, obvs.)
Thanks so much for sharing Ruby!
