It started with Stacey. She did the hardest part and produced 3 of the, well lets face it, most gorgeous boys on the face of the planet. And she did it in just over 4 years. I need to go take a nap just thinking about that.
When Susan and I heard #3 was on the way, we thought we could contribute to Stacey’s crafty endeavors. Not so much with the birthing part (though we can always be counted on to boil water at a moment’s notice), but definitely with the outfitting of the new little guy.
First I whipped up 3 of Dana’s spectacularly versatile 90 minute shirts. I wish I had put a dime next to that orange trimmed one, for scale. It’s like a dime and a half in size. I used great restraint to not just eat it up the second it was done.
Then I passed them on to Susan, who labeled and cute-ified them, using her print-on-fabric method.
And finally the whole thing was sent to Stacey, who (using the labels as guides) fitted them on the correct brother.
Just keep walking, ladies, the two older sons are spoken for, and we have a clause that reserves the youngest for any potential future daughters.
Yes, their J. Crew model contracts are already signed.
This was a fun project for Susan and I, as we both got to do what we like to do best. I got to do the construction, she got to do the creative decorating. Maybe we have a business model there?
They came out amazing, what a good idea!
Those boys are precious and I love the shirts & colour combos. The business model sounds like a plan.
Such a great gift. You have my vote on your business.
Awww those are really great! Cute.
Absolutely GORGEOUS! What more can I say!
ok, they’re pretty cute. but i have the three best looking boys myself, plus a lovely girl, all in under 6 years. top that! ;) and i love this idea – i’m totally stealing it.
What cute boys! What cute shirts!
Thanks for our adorable shirts, ladies. As you can tell from the pics, we luuuurve them. The big boys just love all the attention they get when they wear them. I love the surged details. Me thinks me needs one myself.
Plus you used the softest knit ever and they are super comfy. I’m hoping the littlest guy won’t be growing out of his too soon because (No, Tammy. I won’t be topping you!) the buck stops here. Most especially because Male is the only species I seem to be able to produce.
Oh gosh, those are too cute!!! The little boys aren’t half bad either. :)
That’s fun and soooo cute! You guys are so clever!
adorable!!!!!
adorable! I have been eying Dana’s tutorial but I am totally afraid of knits…
ah! too cute! love the commentary! lol
So cute! I love those.
so cute, and they all fit so good! I love the pop of color and the stitching details. adorable!
Awww, so cute, and what great gifts!
i love the “labels”! when my third was born, i was stuck mentally because i wanted to do shirts like this, but didn’t want to use the dreaded “middle sister” label … hmmm, maybe i’ll keep this in mind for next time! lol
OMG! Those boys are too cute! And so are the shirts!
Yup Loving these soooo much.
