Crafty Friend Etiquette

November 19, 2009 By crafterhours 11 Comments

So, hypothetically, let’s say you’re at a crafty friend’s house watching said crafty friends’ kids so that crafty friend could go see Twilight on opening night.

Is crafty friend’s scrap bin up for grabs?

Please help me decide. And also provide appropriate suggestions for an apology should I make the decision crafty friend might not agree with.

I know my crafty friend wouldn’t mind! But we swap all the time. I guess it would mean yours is up for grabs too!

Hm… I would say crafty friend’s bin isn’t up for grabs for any permanent changes or projects, but she might appreciate if you pulled things out with some new ideas! But first, be grateful you have crafty friends! Mine are supportive of my style but don’t have enough interest to do things themselves. Love your crafty friends!

Oh, that said scrap pile is soooo up for grabs. No excuse needed if said scrap pile manages to also make some thing for said crafty friend?

I thought I had a blog bookmarked that does a scrap project each week. I’ll send it your way if I can find it again.

Hmmm… I think that unless the scrap happens to be pinned to a set of instructions or a pattern, or perfectly rolled as though recently purchased, then it is totally up for grabs. ;)

A good crafty friend would understand the need to craft. Maybe offer up some bits and bobs from your own crafty pile, or create something for her from the crafty bits?

Etiquette? Would be to ask first,(thats what we always teach our children right?) But fun? Go for something in said crafty friends stash that doesn’t look too important, I know I wouldn’t mind, especially for a trade off of seeing Edward Cullen for 2 hours on a ginormous screen w/o the kids:)

Ok, let me put this to rest. I’m Adrianna and it was MY scrap bin she was going through. I agree with Eve: if it’s important I have it in my “i’m using these scraps for something” scrap pile (yes, I have 2). Also, 3 Sweet P’s knows that anything is worth some Edward time (although you will be heavily swayed toward team Jacob after seeing this movie). And finally, thank you to all of you who suggested that Susan make something for me and/or let me go through her scrap bin too! I think that was some very sage advice.
