Care Cares

August 2, 2010 By crafterhours 3 Comments

What a super fun surprise in my mailbox! (I also thought about titling this post “My Dealer Delivered”)

Why did I arrange them this way? I don’t know. I was losing light quickly, and wanted Care to know that the package had arrived. And why do I think you need to see my toes? I don’t know. I like little tiny bits of people.
I think my favorite of these prints is the pencils. In high school one of my AP art portfolios was centered on pencils. I think my teacher was worn out on the theme by project #3 in that series, but by the time I had finished the year I still wasn’t done. In college I made sterling silver and garnet hair sticks that looked like pencils.
Aaanyway, this tangible bit in my mailbox as a result of blogging is sort of a bloggy friend theme in my life right now. If all goes well, I’ll meet up with another bloggy friend in REAL LIFE tomorrow. And by “if all goes well” I mean “if she doesn’t go into labor first.” Adrianna is totally jealous. Of the get-together, not the threat of labor.
Thanks Care! You made my day! And if all reallllly goes well, we’ll close on our house tomorrow, which will mean that I can start crafting again soon. Halleluia. Home decor projects– on the way! Ummm… after I do some I Spying….

Congrats on the potential house closing! I have been in my house over 4 years now and the trauma of loan/closing time still makes me want to hide under the covers, so I don’t envy you. Hang in there! It will all work out and you can craft again soon.

Just blogging around today and came across your blog. What absolutely beautiful quilts. That is one thing I could never quite master. Thank you for letting me visit.
