There’s this fabric on Stash Slash I’d snatch up if I could think of where I’d wear it. It’s called “slipper satin” and I love the way that sounds. I think I’d walk around all day in it saying “ssssslipper sssssatin” over and over and over again. And when one wears vintage ’50s sssslipper ssssatin I think one is prohibited from household duties. Because ssssslipper sssssatin is meant to be worn to sssslide from room to room, rather than ssssselecting refrigerated items that have sssssspoiled and need to be disssssposed of.
My duty in this moment, however, is to report that the winner of a year’s selling on Stash Slash AND Mrs. Jewell’s Sewing Kit is….. commenter #10, Christie! Christie, send me an e-mail and your vintage goods and selling membership will be on their way. Sssssoon.
I’m also happy, happy, happy to report that Liam’s bumper is DONE! Amazing what I can get done with a husband around, eh? Here’s a little look:
There’s still some work to be done putting all of the pieces of the nursery together, but when it’s done, I’ll be showing off Liam’s crib. (His crib! Mom humor! Haaaa! Uh… sorry, that’s the best I’ve got.)

That crib bumper, as well as your quilt are just too cute for words! Everything down to the little striped door of the doghouse!
