Friday’s Follow-Up

April 15, 2012 By crafterhours 2 Comments

After posting on Friday my Mom said “thanks for the pictures, Susan, but post more.” So here’s my update with a few more. Just for you, Mom.

On Friday afternoon Katie made chocolate chip cookies and we took them to her favorite nurses at the Inova Fairfax Hospital High Risk Perinatal Unit to celebrate her one-year anniversary. These were the nurses that cared for her 24/7 for four months, and they were ecstatic to see Liam. And to kiss those smushy baby cheeks.

I myself enjoyed seeing the nurses I’d seen wandering in and out, who’d been Katie’s lifelines. But if I’m being honest, by a slight margin, the best part was leaving. With Katie. And Liam. All healthy and functional. Taking deep breaths of fresh air outside of there.

Also awesome… bedtime stories. Katie’s already bringing out the best.

It’s a busy bloggy week ahead. Hoping to share what I’ve done with this. On Wednesday, a DIY post for Mother’s Day. Put together a little party for my baby who’s turning 3. And tell you about a quilt-a-long that is drool-worthy. Back soon.
