Skirt Week Sponsor: Sew Liberated

June 9, 2012 By crafterhours 2 Comments

Next up is the pattern designer, book writer, sewist, and blogger extraordinaire, Meg from Sew Liberated! (and her husband Patrick & the rest of the Sew Liberated team!)

I had the good fortune to win some patterns and a signed copy of her book Sew Liberated a few years back, and they were such a treat!  I can’t recommend either enough.  Her patterns produce clothing that is professional in construction but simple to make and beautiful to wear.  The Schoolhouse Tunic is a perennial favorite, but there are many other women’s clothing patterns as well as accessories, home decor, and children’s patterns.

Right now I am dying over their Bohemian Bag Kit, which comes with the bag pattern, yummy AMH velveteen, and waxed canvas (plus all the hardware and lining and stuff).  In fact, if anyone reading this wants to get it for me for my birthday, I would not turn it down.  You might want to buy it now though, since I assume quantities are limited…(was that too subtle?)

And of course don’t forget about her blog, where you’ll find sewing, gardening, and child-raising, to name a few.  Though, if I had to pick just one, this rug may be my favorite thing she’s ever done.

Meg is very generously giving 4 Skirt Week winners a copy of the new Paloma Top, Tunic, & Dress.

AND the even newer Ashland Dress (I got to see it before it was even officially on the store site!  Woohoo!)  And get this – this dress not only comes in sizes 2-20, but with cup sizes A-D too!  Which is amazing, since my very first thought upon seeing the pattern was, “well, that dress is not for the bosom challenged….) BUT IT IS!  It’s for everybody!  (ok, I’ll shut up now.  Just know that its amazing.)

But wait!  There’s more!  4 Skirt Week winners will also receive a copy of her newest book, Growing Up Sew Liberated, which includes 18 project and full size patterns!

Thanks for the amazing prizes Sew Liberated!

Love love love her patterns and books. And Ashland comes with directions for those, uhm, more endowed? I wonder if I could make nursing friendly…or just make a few for once my littlest weans…
