There are quite a few blogs I “follow”. I know the writer’s children’s names, recognize their homes, can tell that they made something just by looking at what it is and how it’s photographed. I notice when things have been rearranged or someone has a new haircut. It’s how you feel like you have friends on the internet you’ve never met. Nobody can “follow” everybody, but some are on my not-to-be-missed list. I even follow my own blog because occasionally Adrianna will post something that I missed when it was a draft, and it’s fun to read her posts as if I was any other reader and not her co-blogger. I don’t like to miss pieces of the story.
Skirt Week is no different, I love to watch it unfold. Especially competition week! If you’re not already “following” we’d love to have you.
You’ve probably already heard that Google Reader is going away. Adrianna and I were both loyal Reader readers, and A plans to hold on until the very. last. day. — but I’ve already transitioned to…
Feedly. I’m loving it because it imports the same folders I used in Reader– and once I got through the day or two of adjustment I actually liked it better. The mobile app is a big improvement over what I was used to. Some folks are in love with
Bloglovin’. Similar to Feedly, just a matter of preference for the look and feel of the interface. It’s beautifully simple to add new blogs to your list. If you never used it in the first place, no big deal, right? If you’re not already (and don’t want to be) a feed-reader nerd, there’s also
Pinterest, home of our Skirt Week Tutorials board, Skirt Inspiration for Women and Skirt Inspiration for Girls. Not to end there, there’s
Facebook. We post there a good bit. And there’s
Instagram for Adrianna and Instagram for Susan. As well as
Twitter that tweets our posts and some random crafty chatter and we can’t forget
Google Plus — easy enough to keep track of if you’re into it, and lastly there’s the direct subscription through
Feedblitz which offers e-mail and a whole bunch of other ways to follow.
So many options! You don’t need ’em all. Just whatever works for you. We love it when you follow one way or another because it tends to be the people who follow along who get our humor and are fun for us to interact with. That’s the best part– the conversation and the community that we get to be a part of. Offering input and feedback. If it weren’t for that we wouldn’t be blogging!
We’re off to gear up for the weeks ahead. Thanks for following along, however you choose to do it! We’re so glad to have you!

What if you are following via email? this is how I follow most to all of my blogs, but I am not techy enough to understand if it will change or not?

Hi Chrissy! We’ve already made the changes behind the curtain that should have you all set. You shouldn’t have a problem! Thanks for asking!!
