Skirt Week Guest Tutorial: Sew Country Chick

June 3, 2013 By crafterhours 2 Comments

Today we’d like to welcome Justine from Sew Country Chick.  She’s showing us how to make this cute sailor skirt, customized to your measurements.  (She had me at nautical.)

I love how she mentions that you can buy a sailor skirt pattern, but you can also take a few extra moments, save yourself some money, and make your own.  I think this is true for almost all skirts, really.  They don’t have the fit issues that can come with sleeves and bust darts in tops and rises in pants.  Armed with only your waist and hip measurements and a good calculator, you can do more than you think!
Head over to Sew Country Chick to give it a shot!  Thanks Justine!
