What Is Original?

July 27, 2015 By Susan 1 Comment

Don’t know about you, but there’s a lot of summer happening where I am. Nothing original, really. We’re detached from routine and going from moment to moment around here and slowly resetting for the new school year. Even if it’s very winter where you are, you might be looking for something good to listen to while you sew/craft/lounge/clean up the kitchen.

This Ted Radio Hour on originality is well worth a listen and there are so many fascinating points in it – including the fact that Bob Dylan would be crucified in the media these days for a lack of originality! Starting with music and then moving into the world of fashion, I think you’ll dig it.

After listening I went to share it on the Facebook page but there doesn’t seem to be a way to share a direct link, so I’m embedding it here instead.

I’m now listening a second time through while I work on the (probably not original!) post for the next Friday Fiver! Tell me what surprised you in the comments!

Looking for more suggestions for listening while you work? Read this post.
