Things to Sew for Comfy Holiday Gatherings

November 5, 2015 By Susan 1 Comment

There’s this thing that’s happened in my family that I expect has happened in most others — the crinkly and constrictive fancy clothes we used to wear for holidays have gotten far more relaxed and comfortable. THANK GOODNESS. But when I think about what to wear for Thanksgiving meals, this is the first thing that comes to mind.

Still. So. Funny.

I can’t say I’m in a hurry to put actual maternity clothes back on though. So I’ve rounded up a few quick-ish, fun sewing patterns that would be cute enough to feel like you’ve dressed up a bit but comfy enough that you’re able to eat all the turkey you want. And by turkey I really mean pie. A little of each and every one. Because there’s a long winter ahead and we have to be PREPARED.

There’s a mix of free and patterns for purchase here – and if you have suggestions to add I’d love to see them in the comments!
