Crafty Friends are the BEST!

January 25, 2010 By crafterhours 5 Comments

A plain brown envelope arrived on Thursday. Inside… SCORE!

Quilted coasters from Stacey, AND chocolate. Super smooth yummy delicious GERMAN chocolate that I love, in a flavor I can’t get where I live. (And to double the yum, Adrianna got a matching surprise envelope.)
The coasters are made with Tanya Wheelan fabric from the “Darla” line. It’s delicious and summery and gives me hope that we’ll all survive the winter yet. The free-motion quilting is adorable.
And now I have a plan. I’ve just made something for Stacey that’s slightly larger in size. It’ll be revealed in an upcoming blog swap with a new bloggy friend. So then maybe she’ll make me something slightly larger than that, say, a placemat. And then I’ll make her something slightly larger, like a tablecloth. And then she’ll make me a king-size QUILT! I’m a schemer. And then I’ll make her a teepee. And then she’ll make me a yurt. What would come after that?

I’ve never even seen a yurt in person. But it might make my list! (Ticker tape quilt first, though.)
