Trees, Buttons, Scraps. Happy Trees.

February 18, 2010 By crafterhours 6 Comments

What to do with screen prints other than slap ’em on a t-shirt? Well, pillows and wall art are also obvious choices, but so fun.
So this is not a Bob Ross happy tree, but it sure makes me happy. I used the prints I made here and Disney’s machine buttoning magic here.

Then I fused fabric scraps together. Cut little leaves. Simple stitching to attach them to the tree.

Still some thread snipping to do. Then to make this part of a baby gift. Because the leaves are double-sided, it’s okay if they curl a bit as they wear. And the fusible interfacing will keep them from fraying much. This is my other new favorite thing to work with– since you can use it sort of as you would felt. Aaaaah, happy trees. I love you.

Super cute! I love the trees plain but the buttons and leaves were a nice touch! I’ve been meaning to do some screenprinting and this gets me inspired to give it a shot.
