Blog-keeping

May 7, 2010 By crafterhours 4 Comments

Hello faithful Crafterhours readers!  If we haven’t mentioned it lately, you guys are the best!  Thanks for sticking with us through all our blog-tinkering, color and font switching, and of course, our inability to stop making inane comments throughout our tutorials!

We have some blog-keeping updates that we’d like to share via a nice, bulleted list (yeah, this is a boring post, but to spice it up,  I’ve added some inane comments):

  • We heart comments!  We promise we read each and every single one and often discuss them afterwards.  They totally make our day.  We also like to respond to them when we have time, or if a question has been asked.  But a lot of times when we try to respond, we discover that there is no email linked to your profile, so we can’t.  Sometimes we get ambitious and try to stalk you via your profile or blog or store, but sometimes even THEN we can’t find contact info.  We know some people like their privacy, and that’s fine.  But sometimes it’s just a mistake.  Like in our case.  We’ve been blogging since October, but just now linked our profile to our email.  Oops!  Maybe you’ve made a similar mistake and would like to take the chance to rectify it now?  Ok, off you go.
  • We’ve updated our “kill some time with” blog list (it’s waaaaay down there on the right.  No…keep going…yep! there!)  We figured nobody needed us to tell them to go check out Angry Chicken.  In fact, I’m not even going to link to her now.  That’s just ridiculous.  There are a few tried and true favorites in there, but we’ve also added some brand new ones that we like.  Perhaps one of them is you!
  • We’ve created a new Flickr Group, called Crafterhours Crafts.  I know, that name just blew your mind.  Sorry to astonish you like that with no warning.  Now it is linked to our Crafterhours Flickr account, instead of Adrianna’s personal one.  If you were one of the like 3 people who added stuff to our old account, we’d love for you to move your stuff over to our new one.  AND, we’d love to do a feature post of some of our favorite things from the Crafterhours Crafts group.  But for that to happen, you would need to actually POST SOMETHING THERE!  So, go on!  We’re offering free advertising to you!
  • Also, Crafterhours now has a fan page on a little website called “facebook.”  Perhaps you’ve heard of it.  We’re trying to spread the word, it definitely has potential.
  • Don’t forget to check out Spring Top Week over the weekend and vote for your favorite!  Especially if your favorite is this one  :)

Haha–when you told me the other day I had no email linked to my blog I fixed it right then and there. It was one of those things I meant to do all the time but totally forgot about all the time.
Your top is great–hope it wins!
