Skirt Week, Brought to you by…

June 20, 2010 By crafterhours 6 Comments

We definitely couldn’t have made Skirt Week so appealing without the help of our wonderful sponsors who generously donated prizes.  I’d like to introduce you to each of them and encourage you to visit their shops and bookmark them for future use as well.

First up, a special treat for everybody, whether you’re participating in Skirt Week or not.  Melanie from Above All Fabric is giving all of our readers a special discount code to use during Skirt Week, June 21st – 25th, 2010.  Just enter “Skirt Week” at checkout to receive 10% off, no minimum!  I won’t go on about Above All Fabric as I raved about it in this post, except to say go shop there now!!  You won’t be sorry!

The blogger who inspired it all, Rae of Made by Rae.  We love how she encouraged us all to do some selfish sewing for a change.  Since May, I’ve made her Toddler Backpack, participated in her Spring Top  Week, made her Buttercup Bag for the first time and used her tutorial for a shirt placket.  For awhile here, it was all Rae all the time, and that ain’t a bad thing, folks!

A lady who needs no introduction, Dana of MADE.  Dana has been busy amping up her tutorial and pattern shop, so if you haven’t been by recently, you must go.  She’s even offering one of her patterns for FREE!

Our go-to guy for twill tape, John of twilltape.com.  Did you  know that after we kept referring to him as Twill Tape Guy, he actually booked that name for his very own blog?  It’s true.  And if you visit his blog, you can see some examples of the custom printed twill tape labels he’s been making.  Lots of inspiration there!

The queen of up-cycled, one of a kind, knit clothing, Ashley of Lil Blue Boo.  She has a new store where you can buy her unique clothing, and also a pattern shop if you want to make one for yourself!

Amy of Mod Podge Rocks!  I don’t think I have to tell you that this is the place to go for Mod Podge inspiration, tips, and tricks.  She’s always showcasing something new, and in case you’ve never given it a shot, she has giveaways for starter sets of Mod Podge all the time!

Liz of Little Lizard King.  She has all kinds of adorable patterns for kids’ clothing and accessories in her shop.  They would be a great way to get your feet wet if you’re a new and/or hesitant sewer, and you’ll have a cute finished product to boot!

Susannah of Art Nest.  We love Susannah’s signature simple style, and it really shows in her lovely embroidery, art work and rings available in her shop.

Kim of Everything Etsy, a fabulous place to learn everything about running an online shop with etsy, from advice about generating sales to designing your header.  She also features great etsy finds and tutorials by guest bloggers, and, naturally, has her own etsy shop!

Ashley of Make it and Love it.  Not only does she run one of the most comprehensive and well-loved craft blogs out there, but she has a pattern for just the cutest little baby booties ever in her shop!

And finally, the incomparable Heather Bailey.  Need I say more about her?  I don’t think so.  We love love love her fabric & patterns, but have you seen her felt and paper goods?

A big huge thank you to all of our sponsors!
