Congratulations, finalists! Hooooray! We’re finally ready for the voting!
Our panel of judges has narrowed down the A-Line Skirt category and we have the final eight for voting. The reader’s choice and judge’s choice winners for the A-Line Skirt category will be announced tomorrow, and then we continue voting and revealing winners each day this week. I’ve already heard feedback from the judges that the judging was harder than they expected it to be. I know it sounds all whiny– how hard can it be? But it is. Each pool has so much talent and so many great ideas.

Congrats to the finalists, but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. I guess your judges’ taste is just really different than mine, because with a few exceptions, I didn’t think these skirts were at all the best posted in the flickr pool! It’d be really great next year if you’d let folks vote on “reader’s choice” from the entire pool rather than from finalists chosen by judges. :-)

We’re glad so many folks are enjoying Skirt Week(s). “Anonymous”, sorry you were disappointed. To be sure, in any online competition there are decisions to be made about how it will run, and having judges narrow the field makes the voting more manageable. It’s what we’ve got to do to maintain sanity, and we’re pleased with the results.
