Skirt Week Sponsor: The Ribbon Retreat

June 4, 2012 By crafterhours 1 Comment

This week we’re going to march all of our lovely sponsors by for you to ogle and show you all the lovely prizes you could win if you enter a skirt (by this Friday at midnight EST!  Links to enter are in our sidebar.)
If you participate in Skirt Week, you’re guaranteed to come out of it with at least one prize – a fabulous new skirt for you or your daughter!  But you might just win a whole ton of other stuff too, which we know is a big motivation to sew and play along.  Our sponsors make it possible to offer you guys this incentive and we couldn’t do it without them!  We hand select our sponsors so that you’ll end up with prizes that you’ll actually appreciate (you know, instead of a year’s supply of windshield washing fluid or something).  And because we think highly enough of them to ask them for donations, we also think they’re deserving of their own posts.  Plus, you might just see something you didn’t know about before!  Everyone’s a winner.

So, onto the parade of fun!  First up is the purveyor of all things embellishment – ribbon, flowers, feathers, ric rac, and now fabric too, The Ribbon Retreat.

This place is basically a one-stop-shop for all of your sewing and crafting needs.  They started with a fabulous ribbon selection, but now you can get hardware:

and notions:

and patterns:

and fabric too:

There’s too much in their shop to mention, so you’ll just have to go see all the goodness for yourself.  And if you’re like me and have at times despaired at not finding essential crafting and sewing tools in your local area or country, the Ribbon Retreat ships internationally!!

Two things you may not have known about Ribbon Retreat: They have a M2MG (I couldn’t find it on the site, but I’d bet chocolate that it stands for “made to match guide”) that will help you find perfectly matching ribbon for the current collections at Gymboree, or you can buy them already in packs.  Great for you Etsy-ists who want a little value-add for your hair accessories.
Also, they have a ginormous page full of free tutorials to make all sorts of fun stuff, many of which are contributed by your favorite bloggers.

The good people of Ribbon Retreat have generously offered to donate $25 gift certificates to 4 of our 8 winners (we’ll divvy the prizes up fairly, so don’t worry, there’ll be something awesome for everyone!)

Thanks Ribbon Retreat!
