Skirt Week Guest Tutorial: Sewing Like Mad

First up today is Mie of Sewing Like Mad.  I don’t remember where I first “discovered” Mie’s blog, but I’ve been a fan ever since.  She’s great at coming up with fun and different color combos, and she does really nice work with knits. (which we here at Crafterhours are definitely biased toward!)

Mie will show us how to make a nicely fitted and curved wide waistband, based on your measurements.  It’s a great starting point for any skirt, since the waistband is usually the trickiest part.  Once you have this technique down, you’re good to go.  Her tutorial includes this pretty half circle skirt, and I love the contrasting panel detail she added!
