Childrens Skirt Week Winners!

We have two last big winners to share with you! First, the Judge’s Choice for best Childrens’ Skirt:

Congratulations Laura!  Our minds are boggled by the amount of ruffling you did for this fun skirt!  The judges were equally impressed and said, “I’m such a sucker for ruffles. Love the many different kinds of fabrics/materials used”, “Darling!! I Love that the ruffles are applied continuously instead of in rows”, “Great use of contrasting fabrics and textures”, and “Love the combination of so many colors and materials; they all blend into a lovely, fun skirt that any girls would love!!”
Laura will receive all of the prizes outlined in this post, including her choice of digital patterns from sponsor Oliver + S, who without a doubt produces the most detailed and professionally finished kids patterns on the market.
And the Reader’s Choice A-line winner –
It’s All Twisted Skirt – with a tutorial!

Congratulations Olga! This is the second skirt week win from the very talented sewing duo over at Kid Approved this week!  (And it’s her birthday!)  You should go check them out if you’re not already a follower.  The judges had much to say about this one, including: “Love the pleated look with the zig zag stitching” and ‘another fun and new technique! Very cute and will be perfect for back to school” AND “Nice detailing” AND “Fantastic, original detail”! Phew, that was a lot of judge praise and consensus!
