Round two today is Kristin from Skirt as Top! I know you guys already know and love her, so I probably don’t need to tell you why I think she’s awesome but I’m gonna do it anyway. I could go on and on about her classic and precise sewing, or her beautiful wearable style, or the genius behind her Film Petit series, or just what a great supporter she is of other sewists, but I think I can sum up all of her greatness in one sentence: she made me like something purple.
GASP! I know. But it’s true. Let’s get it straight – she didn’t make me like the color purple, but I can’t stop myself from loving the purple stuff she’s made just because of the fine workmanship, fit, and style. (I think she might be cheating with her cute little models though.)
Kristin’s Edelweiss is no exception to her quality work – not only did she sew it like a boss, but she pointed out (yet another) piece of pattern errata to me. If you’ve purchased this pattern you should’ve already received an update, but let me know if you still need one. She’s got an eagle eye for the details, that lady. Her pattern testing for my Narita Dress improved it by spades.
Head over to Skirt as Top to see her sweet little girl in her Edelweiss. Is this picture not all that is beautiful about little girls and summertime? And I’m really digging the printed Edelweisses with solid straps going on during the tour so far! Yet another thing to add to my To Make list. It’s a tough job, guys.
Thank you so much Kristin!
oh I love it! I have this fabric too and it’s even cuter in person. Awesome job Kristen and as always, Em is adorable:)
*blushes from head to toe* Thanks Adrianna! You’re too kind and I really LOVED this pattern. Thanks to you too, Jennifer!! Loved yours! :*
