Well, sorta. I’m guessing that if you were a loyal Google Reader reader, you’ve already cried and stomped your feet and then come to terms with this, figuring out how to migrate your faves elsewhere. Or you’re at least aware of the impending doom. Even die-hard Adrianna finally gave up and found her alternate last week.
If you weren’t a Reader reader, then this can totally be filed under “no big deal”. And the bloggers who’re all whiny-pants about it just sound silly. But in blogger world, the “followers” are important! We love the conversations and interactions and feedback. If we didn’t we’d be scrapbooking or old-school journaling rather than oversharing on the information superhighway. So if you haven’t already “followed” somehow… now’s a good time, eh?
There are lots of ways to do it.
Feedly. Easy to add any blogs you’d like to keep up with.
Bloglovin’. Also easy peasy.
Pinterest, where we pin most posts.
Facebook. We post there a good bit – both blog and shop updates. If you don’t want to miss posts be sure to adjust your settings to get “All Updates.”
Instagram for Adrianna and Instagram for Susan. Some bloggy stuff, some family life stuff, some random stuff.
Twitter shares blog and shop and conversation with other bloggers.
Google Plus — easy enough to keep track of if you’re into it, and lastly there’s the direct subscription through
Feedblitz which offers e-mail and a whole bunch of other ways to follow.
So many options! You don’t need ’em all. That’d be overkill. Just whatever works for you.
Unrelated to The End of the World, after many weeks of scheduled postings things are likely to get a little more summertime relaxed soon, so “following” is another way to make sure you don’t miss the good stuff. And there’s some goooood stuff coming up.
Thank you, as always, for joining us here!

Fingers crossed so I don’t jinx it, but as of this morning I can still use the Google Reader app on my phone. It’s even pulled new posts from today, so I’m not giving up hope just yet!

Another alternative is to use The Old Reader. It’s an old version of Google Reader that has been brought back to life since Google Reader is shutting down.
