KCW Day 1: Star Wars PJ Pants

January 27, 2014 By Susan 5 Comments

KCW Day 1 was spent eyeing the weather forecast suspiciously. Today was the first quiet day at our house after 9.5 days of no school because of a teacher work afternoon, MLK holiday, teacher workday and then 3 “snow” days due to the inch or two of snow that we got here in nowhere-ville where there are no snow plows or salt trucks. Today I sewed and took care of baby and watched the weather and slowly realized that the rest of the week’s sewing plans might disappear with the first flakes tomorrow. At least the 7-year-old will be happy in her new PJ pants for the upcoming snow days. crafterhours star wars PJs

No pattern, just copying PJs she’s already wearing. Or was wearing before these arrived. I can’t say that Star Wars fabric is at the top of my own to-sew list, but I knew she’d jump into these and feel loved and heard. Given that her other recent request was for a suit that she can yank off in what sounded like a nightclub dancer-ish manner, I’m going to say “Yes!” enthusiastically to the requests that sound most doable and hope that those items distract her from the ones I’m avoiding. That’ll work… right?

Where is that fabric from? I can definitely think of some uses for it myself :P

Here’s the manufacturer’s link: http://camelotfabrics.com/star-wars-ii.html – I got it from fabric.com but it looks like they’ve sold out of that print.
