You know her, you love her, she needs no introduction – today’sFriday Fiver is brought to you by the lovely and talented Rae!  Rae is offering up her Toddler Backpack Pattern for all your back to school needs.

It comes standard in a toddler size, but this pattern also includes instructions to enlarge it for bigger kids.

I made this pattern waaaaay back when and can tell you that it’s just the cutest little thing you’ll ever make.  The options are many, so you can really customize this to your style.  DSC_00221

This pattern is such a great way to feature a special fabric, embroidery, or appliqué.  You could also sew your favorite ribbon across the front as stripes or use a panel of kid-painted fabric…I’m just rambling now, but I tend to get excited about such a perfect blank slate.  Also, if anyone wanted to enlarge it and make me a Liberty and chambray version, I wouldn’t turn it down, just sayin.
