Friday Fiver: Titchy Threads!

Up for grabs today is the Hawthorn Zip-up Sweatshirt from Titchy Threads!  Laura is the designer behind Titchy Threads and she makes some really quality, modern, wearable patterns. Plus she has two little guys so all of her patterns are boy friendly!DSC_8647-d

The Hawthorn Zip-up has lots of optional features, like half or full-zip, inseam pockets and hi-low hem.  It’s a great outer layer for the occasional warmer winter day or make it in fleece and it’s perfect as a mid-layer under winter jackets (I have a whole new vocabulary this winter, like “mid-layer”, thank you very much Colorado).  And best of all, it’s available in sizes 6 months – 12 years, which means you can use it for, like, forever.DSC_8685

I’ve made Laura’s patterns before, so I know they have beautifully clear instructions and she leaves nothing out.  The inside of your garment will end up looking just as good as the outside.  A simple, well-designed pattern means you still have plenty of time to whip up a couple of these for Christmas presents.  Make your little guy one with his favorite team colors, or maybe a personal applique, or fabric that he’ll love.  And of course, there’s no limiting this pattern to boys.  Girls need mid-layers too!DSC_9033

The Hawthorn Zip-up Sweatshirt is available at Titchy Threads for the next 24 hours only, no coupon code required.  Thanks Laura!
