Ok, sewers, you have approximately 7 more hours to get those skirts made, photographed, and uploaded to one of the flickr groups! Are you ready? Links to each flickr group are in our right sidebar.
At midnight, EST, I will make note of the last skirt in each flickr group and Susan and I will base our deliberations on all skirts entered at that point. Feel free to add more skirts later though, for show and tell purposes.
Here’s how Skirt Week will go:
Monday, the 21st: We have a super duper big and famous guest blogger with a tutorial for a…..wait for it….SKIRT! (didn’t see that one coming, did ya?)
Tuesday – Friday, we’ll announce the winner for a different skirt category each day.
Tuesday: A-line
Wednesday: Full
Thursday: Straight
Friday: Little Girls’
Throughout the week we’ll also show off some of the skirts we’ve made for each category, and do some runner-up round-ups. No prizes there, just a way for us to say that you’re all winners :)
And in case any of you are paying really close attention to the timing for Skirt Week, yes, we purposefully picked the first week that Susan would be stuck in a hotel and Adrianna would be coping with being stranded deserted all alone a solo blogger. We figured it would be a good time to inject a little fun into our blog and our lives!

I’ll have you know I got up out of my sick bed to throw together a skirt in the nic of time. Okay, so really I was already feeling better but my husband didn’t know that and I could have milked some serious pampering out of him if he hadn’t come home from work and caught me at my machine. Anyway, awesome challenge. Thanks for the motivation-to sew and to get my bum out of bed.
My comment from yesterday didn’t post! I thought there was until monday to submit- I’m such a doofus! I whipped up my last entry with less than 90 min to spare- whew! A- your earlier post was so articulate and touching, I’m so sad for you both- good friends are rare. xxx -Shannon
Oh, I so read your post wrong (I just discovered crafterhours on Thursday last week)! I thought I had “Skirt Week” to post my photos. Oh well, I’ll still finish my skirt and post it to my own blog.
Good idea! A “week” of anything sponsored by someone else is always great motivation!
