Today is the official first day of Skirt Week 2012! As we mentioned in the intro post, this year’s skirt week is actually a whole month chock full of skirty awesomeness.

The last week is voting time! Each category will be up for 1 day so you can vote for your favorite. An A-list panel of judges will also be providing a judge’s winner.

Speaking of entering skirts, 99 of you have already done so! We love seeing the pools fill up with your gorgeous creations. Every time a new one pops up, I want to comment on it’s loveliness, but I restrain myself because I want to remain fair and unbiased as a skirt week host. Though, Susan and I do have the distinct honor of NOT judging this year…

Please could I have some help?! I’m a new blogger/sewer and I’ve decided to put my skirt in skirt week! I’ve read all the rules and I’m really hoping I’ve done it correctly. I uploaded my photo into the full skirt category and then I put my own comment underneath with fabric etc. Is that right? I’m not sure what else to do!
