Just a couple shirts that didn’t fit into any other fall wardrobe category. The first one is a rip-off of an H&M shirt. You know you’re cheap crafty when you won’t pay $10 for a shirt, and instead buy a $5 shirt to alter.
When I went to take pictures of Z in her shirt, this is the only pose she would give me:
um, yeah. Butt out, lips puckered, sassy look on her face. I asked her who taught her to pose like that and she said “Uncle Craig!”. Uncle Craig? You got some serious ‘splaining to do!! You might want to avoid me while we’re in America.
All I did for this shirt was tack on a bow made with a cut-up old sheet. Super fast and easy with a dramatic result. I’ve never put black on my girls before, but I really like it. A nice little break from bubblegum pink.
Z loves her shirt almost as much as she loves laughing at my reaction to her posing.
The second shirt is another 90 minute shirt. I can’t tell you how much I love that tutorial. If Oliver +S and I ever get divorced, I might marry the 90 minute shirt. (Don’t worry kids, Oliver + S and I will still love you, no matter what happens.)
The jersey fabric I used is so super soft and really thin too.
Yay for comfy new clothes!

Love the look so much, I’m going to make one.
Well after I finish all the other projects I have planned. :)

Oliver + S is teaching me how to sew with their great patterns and instructions. I made the the music box dress and the bubble dress but haven’t ventured into knits… With their help and your inspiration I just might give it a go.

I LOVE both shirts! The bow one is so freakin’ cute I can’t stand it and the 90 minute shirt is genius and cute! I have a thing for lapped shoulder shirts (or whatever you call them) but you can never find them past 2t it seems. I’m so glad I stumbled on this post. I just need to get off my butt and add you to my blog roll!
