I tend to share a lot of interesting sewing finds on our Facebook page, but this one needed a little more space. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held this week in Las Vegas and as I read through the list of crazy stuff debuting there I stopped when I got to THIS. WHOA. The sewing machine costs a mere $15,000. FIFTEEN. THOUSAND. DOLLARS.
So what do you get for the price of a brand new car? See for yourself!
With a camera, a scanner, lasers to make sure you’re sewing straight and a LCD touch screen… that’s more than just bells and whistles. More of an entire orchestra! What do you think of Brother’s Dream Machine?!? Which of those features is WORTH that? And assuming some of these features will be soon available on other machines too, which look like the most fun?

can’t buy it but would sure take it and sew sew sew
Wow!! I think I’d rather buy a car :)
there are seis machine iin washington for 15,000 its a beautiful machine but its my car payment at the momment
It’s a wonderful machine. We’ll worth it’s price. You can buy the machine for about $10,000. I almost bought it, but I’m happy with my Janome 15000.
I can buy one but don’t need one to sew a straight seam. 98% of my sewing is straight stitch. Nice machine but an overload of features I’d probably never use. I see so many guild members buy the new top of the line machines and never use a fourth of the machine’s capability.
Gracious! You sewing friends must be loaded! I can’t afford anything close to that price nor the Janome 15000! School teachers don’t make that much around here! But, I’m glad you can afford it.
It’s a gorgeous machine but it’s too bad the majority of people cannot afford something like this!! Why not price them more reasonably so we all get to enjoy.
If you can buy a Brother be sure your near the dealer. Everyone else wants to charge you an arm and a leg to learn your machine. Don’t bother calling the central hub either. All those people do is look in the book for an answer to your question. Heck, don’t they think I have already done that. I will never own another brother machine.
If I was 32 instead of 72 I would absolutely buy this machine!
