The New, Improved, and even more Awesome Lane Raglan! (and a sale too!)

April 6, 2015 By Adrianna 9 Comments

The Lane Raglan has been out for over a year now, and in that time it has become by FAR my best selling pattern.  I wanted to say thank you for all your support by giving this wardrobe staple a little make over.  laneraglan2

The Lane Raglan now includes 2 extra sizes to go up to 2xl or a 45″ bust.  When printing the pattern, you can now use the layers feature to print only your size, saving you some ink and making pattern cutting that much easier.  The neckbinding has also been updated to be sewn in the round.

The biggest change to the pattern is it now includes a HOOD and THUMBHOLE CUFFS!  This cozy classic just got 100% cozier!  The hood has a generous shape and features cross-over styling in the front and a drawstring.laneraglan3

The thumbhole cuffs are just about my favorite thing ever.  I love the extra warmth without having to wear gloves.  And I’ve found that they make a pretty good alternative to coffee sleeves too!  The cuffs on this shirt were a prototype and are a little bit larger than the final version, which is shorter and more fitted.LaneRaglan

I wore my brand new updated Lane Raglan for an entire day at the Grand Canyon and stayed nice and warm up on the windy cliffs.  I used the softest rayon-blend cotton knit for the body and it has the perfect amount of slouch.  Because of the lightweight knit I used, my version is more like a shirt, but make it up in fleece and you’ll have yourself a nice stable sweatshirt!  I used buttonholes on my hood for the drawstring, but for heavier weight fabrics I recommend using eyelets for some fun hardware accents.LaneRaglan4

This wardrobe staple will be such work horse in your pattern stash.  It’s usually available for the low price of $10, but for the rest of the week you can get a copy of the brand spanking new Lane Raglan for only $7 using code “LANE7”!!  Sale ends Saturday, April 11 at midnight mountain time.

Those of you who have ever purchased the Lane directly from my website should’ve already received a free copy of the updated version.  If you think it went to spam, please email me a copy of your original receipt – adrianna@heyjunehandmade.com.

And if you’re excited about this one, come back next Monday for another reinvented wardrobe staple from Hey June!

Happy sewing!laneRaglan5

They are true religion, and they’re my favorite too. I didn’t realize that spending 10x as much on jeans would actually be worth it until I tried them on. I was very lucky to buy these used, but after owning them, I would definitely buy them full price. My only other jeans are for when these are in the wash :)

Hi Adrianna, please could you advise, if I don’t want to attach the hoodie, are there instructions on how to finish the raglan? First time buyer, have been following you on Facebook for a while. Thanks!

Hi Renee! Yep, the original pattern is still included, so you can make a regular neckband and wristband too.
