When Twill Tape Guy first sent us all that fantastic twill tape, Susan and I came up with about 14 projects for it before we even came up for air. Then Twill Tape Guy added, “oh, I can also do custom printing on the twill tape if you’d like.” Um, Yes Please!
My first idea for twill tape was hemming, because really, how much easier does hemming get? Just sew that strip of tape around and bam! You’re done! No measuring, no folding, no pressing.
But hemming with printed twill tape? NOW you’re talking!
I had this Japanese Red Riding Hood fabric that had been collecting dust for a year because it was too beautiful to use on just anything. Well, it finally found it’s purpose in life. I sent Twill Tape Guy my idea and he printed it out and had it back to me in a jiffy (that’s a technical term there). Now I have a Red Riding Hood print skirt with the text from Little Red Riding Hood printed around the hem! It doesn’t get much cuter than that.
The text continues all the way around the hem:
What’s that you say? You want some of this goodness for your very own? Twill Tape Guy has set up a spot on his site where you can order whatever your little twill tape loving heart desires. He’ll custom print your text, pictures, or original artwork on 1 yard of tape and shipping is FREE! Did I mention it’ll get to you in a jiffy? Because really, this guy is quick.
All you have to do is purchase the custom tape on his site and then email him with your requirements, jpgs, what have you. More info here.
I’ve ordered from the same fellow — AWESOME service, I tell ya!
